That’s it, it’s the big day for nearly 220,000 Aveyron residents. Today, everyone is called to the polls for the first round of these early legislative elections, organized after the dissolution of the National Assembly, recorded by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron on the evening of the European elections of June 9.

Today, polling stations are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. And voters invited to go to their office with their voter card or identity document. Aveyron will elect three deputies, for each constituency.

Five candidates in each of the three constituencies

The first stretches from Rodez to North Aveyron. The incumbent MP Stéphane Mazars (Together, presidential majority), Léon Thébault (New Popular Front), Jean-Philippe Chartier (National Rally), Arlette Saint-Avit (Workers’ Struggle) and Antoine Da Cruz (Resistons) are in the running.

In the second, concerning West Aveyron, the outgoing Laurent Alexandre (NFP), Samuel Deguara (Ensemble), Marie-Christine Parolin (RN), Jean-Philippe Armet (Debout la France) and Lucile El Hedri ( LO).

Finally, the third constituency, encompassing South Aveyron, Lévézou and part of Ségala, elected Jean-François Rousset (Ensemble) in 2022. He will be up against Richard Bouigue (NFP), Pierre-Antoine Fèvre (LR-RN), Bernard Combes (LO) and Thierry Noël (various environmentalists).

The second round will take place next Sunday, July 7, and will pit the first two from the first round against each other in each constituency. Unless triangular ones are emerging. To do this, the first three candidates would each need to collect the votes of at least 12.5% ​​of Aveyron residents registered on the electoral lists.
