RN spokesperson Laure Lavalette, re-elected in the first round in Var, said “there were two camps emerging”, considering the New Popular Front to be “the camp of chaos”. For her, “there will not be this Republican Front, because facing this camp of chaos, there is Jordan Bardella, who embodies hope, who embodies the Republic, security, the protection of identity, sovereignty, purchasing power.”

“There is no third way, Macronie, and this is fortunate, disappeared last night,” added Laure Lavalette on RTL. She repeated that Jordan Bardella will not go to Matignon due to the lack of an absolute majority, “otherwise he would be Emmanuel Macron’s collaborator.”

Asked about the case of the three-way races, Laure Lavalette called on the LR candidates to withdraw to let the National Rally win. “We call on all those who want to participate in this great victory and if it has to involve withdrawing, if they know that they are not going to win, very few Republicans are on the verge of winning, so yes, we have to make the national camp win,” Laure Lavalette invited, estimating that there were also “reserves of votes” in the “sovereign left”. Regarding possible RN withdrawals, Laure Lavalette postponed the decision to an executive board that is to be held in the morning.
