Canada Day celebrations drew crowds to Quebec City and Lévis on Monday as several thousand people took advantage of the nice weather to party in style on the occasion of the 157the birthday.
The festivities kicked off around 11 a.m. on the Dufferin Terrace with the ceremonial raising of the flag. Several dignitaries, such as the Minister of Public Services and Procurement, Jean-Yves Duclos, were also present for the occasion.

Spectators were also treated to a parade performed by the Royal 22e Regiment guided by the music of a fanfare that joined in the celebration.
Families were also served on the Plains of Abraham with many free activities such as inflatable games and a show by Jeanick Fournier, a little later in the evening.

A major new feature was added to this 2024 edition as the festivities concluded with an immersive laser show replacing the traditional fireworks.
In Lévis, the festival was celebrated at the Forts-de-Lévis National Historic Site where a multitude of activities were offered, including a small farm, a small train and inflatable games.

Several shows were also presented throughout the day: the Science Box, a special Canadian artists with a singer as well as a dog show.
