Where to go to watch the Lorient Océans parade?

The harbor on parade! Old rigging, heritage or offshore racing boats, SNSM stars and military ships: the Lorient Océans Grand Parade will be an opportunity to observe beautiful boats, this Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 2 p.m. Around thirty ships will sail in the harbor to be visible from the coasts of Gâvres to Lanester. Among the appreciable viewpoints: the ports of Sainte-Catherine and Pen Mané in Locmiquélic, the fort of Kernével in Larmor-Plage or that of Porh-Puns in Gâvres, the citadel of Port-Louis or even the tip of Keroman.

Possibility to embark

As for the previous edition, the boats will take the same circuit. They will gradually enter the harbor of Lorient, and it is the trimaran Ultim Sodebo which will open the ball. New this year: it is possible to board certain ships to experience the parade aboard these exceptional boats for two to three hours. Some boardings are already full, and reservations are recommended on the Lorient Océans website. Several departures are possible from the event village, the city center of Lorient, Locmiquélic, Gâvres, and the Port-Louis marina. Prices vary depending on the ship: about €42 for the Breton barge L’André-Yvette, and €175 for the heritage boat Santa Maria Manuela, with buffet.
