Until Saturday July 6, ten football teams from throughout the Vierzon region are participating in the 6th edition of the Youth Football World Cup in Vierzon.

C’ left until July 6 with the 6 e Youth Football World Cup in Vierzon. Since June 23, ten football teams from throughout the Vierzon region, formed for the occasion, have participated in this event.

This project is still led by David Yoba Mabiala, from the Jeune & Hum1 association, assisted by Tiago Alvès Ferrera and Boukary Keita.

Ten countries are represented: Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, Congo, Tunisia, Turkey, Senegal, Ivory Coast, RDM (Rest of the world – Palestine) and France. The matches (short format) take place at the Brouhot stadium every evening at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. until July 4. The semi-finals will take place on the 5th, from 7:30 p.m., and the final on the 6th, at the same time.

Since the beginning, around five hundred spectators come to encourage them every evening in a festive atmosphere. Algeria has already won the cup twice as well as France which won it in 2022 and 2023. The matches are refereed by volunteers or team captains and an official referee has been helping them since last year.

Free entry to competitions

Three partners support the project: Gym Management, Solution du Bâtiment and Event.by (event decoration). The city of Vierzon provides the field and mediation agents from the sports department as well as Mohamed Dahak, from the college center. The Vierzon Football club also lends the facilities (showers, changing rooms), balls and various equipment useful for the competition. The president, Marvin Sampson, has also authorized them to use field no. 1 so that supporters can benefit from the stands. Admission is free for all competitions.
