The candidate of the presidential majority is followed by the candidate of the New Popular Front Yassine Benyettou, qualified for the second round with 27.32% of the votes cast. Jacques Myard, DVD mayor of Maisons-Laffitte, completes the triangular with 22.90% of the votes.

In 2022, Yaël Braun-Pivet was re-elected in the second round with 64.62% of the vote against the LFI candidate invested by Nupes, Sophie Thevenet (35.38%). In the department, the list of the presidential majority led by Valérie Hayer came second in the European elections. Although in the lead, the National Rally achieved a lower score there than at the national level (20.53%).

A coalition as an “obligation”

The outgoing MP, who has been president of the National Assembly for two years, had waited before announcing her decision to run again. She has since reiterated her wish to return to the presidency after the legislative elections.

“I think that in a very complex National Assembly to run in which we will have many political groups, I have proven that I am capable of making it work, and that is probably what we will need,” he said. she assured.

During her campaign, she received support, in a “friendly” capacity according to her, from Gérard Larcher, president of the Senate and elected LR of importance in this Ile-de-France department.
