1 evening, 2 shows! Fantasie Minor – Off-road collection of the CCN Caen Normandie, Marco Da Silva Ferreira An explosive visual and musical fantasy. Franz Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor is the playground of two virtuoso dancers experienced in urban dances. This fraternal and competitive duo plays on a 4m track2black gloved and sneaker-clad, white jackets and shorts. Together, they leap forward, hit the ground like in a ring and vibrate with jerky movements. The crystalline piqué and pointes of classical ballet combine magnificently with hip hop, dance hall and capoeira influences, on a remixed version of Franz Schubert’s composition with techno notes. Marco Da Silva Ferreira, the most inventive Franco-Portuguese choreographer of his generation, signs here a rebellious duo where each step and legwork is dizzying. His dazzling writing crosses the bodies with a gentle and fiery madness.
Tenacious Blue – Rhizome Company, Chloé Moglia Poetic eulogy in balance and suspension. Look up! At six meters high, Fanny Austry surveys her monumental wire structure-sculpture, named “half-sigh”, with her bare hands. Dressed all in blue, she climbs the mast, holds on and the rest of her body tilts, above the void, defying vertigo. Volcanic, she alternates jerky sequences drawn from urban dances and calmer moments of suspension. Chloé Moglia, at the origin of this creation, is known for having revolutionized the art of suspension. She accompanies this eulogy of risk and contemplation with a meditative electro musical score.
