A defender left to become an attacker and scorer, a great story.
We have always been taught that happiness is sometimes on our side! The CAB, which has not had an attacker-scorer since a certain Othmane Mellouli towards the end of the 70s, discovered during this season a new goal hunter in the person of the player Taïeb Ben Zitoun. This central defender at the start (his favorite position) was converted into a center forward during the second phase of the championship. Since then, the Cabiste team, whose offensive compartment was not its strong point, began to regularly score goals both on the road and at home. Maher Kanzari was right when he suggested that the player “marry” this new position. Indeed, Taïeb Ben Zitoun has undeniable physical and technical qualities to succeed in this reconversion. And he amply proved it! Athletic and quick to execute, he finished the play-out with 10 goals to his name.
And again, he wasn’t there all the time! Without being overzealous, we can think that this is quite simply a performance knowing that our championship has suffered from a lack of scoring players in recent years.
The 26-year-old hasn’t gotten too tired and continues to work hard, because he is aware that he can still improve.

The technicians who took charge of the Tunisian team generally complained about the absence of a “regular” scorer in the Tunisian selection! When you have an attacker on hand who scores so many goals, you can’t not call him on and ignore him. The summons of Taïeb Ben Zitoun is therefore essential to any self-respecting coach!
We have never presented him as a lightning striker, but giving him a chance is recommended, it seems to us, especially since he has significant room for improvement.
