Only one more week (officially) to wait for summer vacation for all schoolchildren in the country! But before that, it’s time to enjoy one last weekend before July, Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30, 2024.

Here are our ideas for outings in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) for a summer weekend, also marked by the legislative elections.

A new exhibition at the Education Museum

Before schools close for two months, why not go and discover a new exhibition at the National Museum of Education? Called “Fantastic Physics!”, it traces the history and teaching of physics in schools (but not only), through a journey that is as fun as it is educational.

Don’t panic if you don’t have time this weekend, the exhibition is worth discovering until September 30, 2026. And entry is free.

The second edition of Forêt Monumentale

If the heat is suffocating you, you can always go visit the second edition of Forêt Monumentale, in the shade of the trees. The exhibition began on June 20, 2024. In total, 13 giant works, each more spectacular than the last, can be discovered in the heart of nature in the Roumare national forest. Free admission.

Go vote!

This weekend is also the first round early legislative elections. Given the importance of this election, we can only invite you to go and vote. And you can find our article right here on what you need to know before the first tour in the department.

Flea markets and flea markets

And if you feel like it to hunthere are some ideas:

  • A professional flea market on the Place Saint-Marc market, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • A solidarity sale of second-hand books at Docks 76, Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • A big fair for everything in the parking lot on rue Lethuillier Pinel, between place Saint-Clément and rue Boucher de Perthes, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
