The Chinese manufacturer is continuing its distribution network on French territory by choosing the Fabre group in Rodez (12). This appointment reveals BYD’s strategy, which consists of now developing in medium-sized cities.

Following the appointment of the Péricaud group in Limoges (87) and Brive-la-Gaillarde (19), BYD is continuing its expansion in the centre and south-west of France by appointing the group Fabre in Rodez (12). This is his 28the point of sale.

“This strategic collaboration underlines the brand’s commitment to working with recognized distribution groups that master all automotive trades (new vehicles, used vehicles, utility vehicles and commercial vehicles)”, indicates the manufacturer in a press release. He plans to open other dealerships in the region in the coming weeks.

Located at 177 rue du Pôle Automobile in Rodez, the site covers 350 m² dedicated to the exhibition of BYD electric vehicles, supplemented by an after-sales workshop. It is ideally located, as it is behind a shopping center and is close to the Peugeot, Toyota and Hyundai dealerships.

After having established itself in large cities upon its arrival in France in June 2023, BYD is now operating branches in smaller cities. By the end of 2024, the manufacturer plans to open around fifty points of sale in France and around a hundred in eighteen months. At the end of May 2024, the brand sold 1,330 vehicles.

For its part, the Fabre group achieved a turnover of 313 million euros in 2023. Distributor of the Renault and Volkswagen group brands, as well as Nissan, Suzuki and Volvo, it sold 6,375 new vehicles and 6,390 used cars.
