Dormant, the Saint-André-de-l’Eure judo club restarts

The Saint-André-de-l’Eure judo club experienced a significant drop in its members, going from more than 100 members to a handful after Covid.

After more than a year of suspension, the Judo du plateau Andrésien (JPA) office team is happy to announce that a new teacher wants to join us in order to relaunch the club.

“We are actively working with him to be able to reopen the activity from the next school year. We will try to relaunch all categories, and open the adult offer to broader activities Ju-Jitsu and other muscle strengthening practices, cardio, etc.,” explains Jessica Soaresthe new president of the club.

Alexandre Grichoisteacher since last summer and 2nd dan, wants to favor “leisure and family judo, the practice of traditional judo, well-being and muscle strengthening, and to introduce this sport to the youngest”.

An action is already planned between August 6 and 8, with the young people of the leisure center. “We are planning this type of initiative in the coming weeks, in order to introduce judo and attract our future judokas. We are taking this opportunity to appeal to people who would like to come and strengthen the office or simply help get the club back on track. All goodwill is welcome.
