Avignon Off Festival: Temporary stability, we explain why we loved it

Temporary Stability, by Grégoire Aubert, directed by Dominique Fataccioli, was presented at the end of the residency at the Optimist theater at the end of May. A preview that allowed us to appreciate the performance of actors Pascale Tronche and Grégoire Aubert himself, in a most perilous exercise, since each embodies several characters. And in this game, Pascale Tronche is irresistible, alternating with precision the funny moments with sometimes tragic ones. On the program of this psychological thriller, love and mourning make humor and emotions follow one another, in a total temporal deconstruction.

After a beginning where the spectator has to find his bearings, the five characters (three played by Grégoire Aubert and two by the excellent Pascale Tronche) tell their story. We gradually enter their world, caught up in particular by the talent of the two actors who change roles promptly, he by wearing a simple hat, she by changing from sneakers to pumps, and vice versa throughout the evening.

Temporary stability at the Optimist theater, 50 rue Guillaume Puy, until Sunday July 21 at 3:10 p.m. (closed on Tuesday).

Prices: €20, €14 or €10. Reservations on the Optimist Theatre website.
