The giant screen

The news did not go unnoticed: a “fan zone” will take over the Quinconces in front of a giant screen of more than 60 m². The gauge is set at 20,000 spectators. Entertainment, bars, catering and the UBB shop are part of the fan zone package. Please note that access is free, but subject to presentation of a ticket on the UBB online ticket office web.digitick.com. The fan zone opens at 6:30 p.m. and closes at midnight.

The “UBB spots”

Beyond the UBB clubhouse/bodega in hangar 16, on the quays, the club claimed a slew of “UBB spots” for the semi-final, i.e. eighteen bars guaranteeing the broadcast of the match. The page has not been updated to date, but we can safely bet that the same ones will be on the starting line on Friday evening. Here is the list: pub Saint-Aubin, Bodegon, place de la Victoire; Central Gambetta, 3-5, cours Georges-Clemenceau; Carnaval Café (Musée d’aquitaine), 14 bis, rue Duffour-Dubergier; Dog and Duck, 5, quai Louis XVIII; Wall Street, 7, quai de la Douane; Sweeney Todd’s, 2, cours Alsace-Lorraine; Connemara, 18 cours d’Albret; Blarney Stone, 144 cours Victor-Hugo; Golden Apple, 46, rue Borie; Toucan Fringant, 6, quai de la Monnaie; Marguerite, 1, quai Richelieu; Delirium Café, 30, quai Virginie-Hériot; Vintage Café, 19 quai Richelieu; L’Engrenage, 8 rue Castelnau-d’Auros, 33000 Bordeaux; Balthazar, 8, rue des Augustins; Le Singe Vert, 14, quai de la Monnaie.

Favorites

The quayside bars will be able to count on an impressive contingent of supporters on the terrace. And we’ll be sticking together at the Connemara or the Cock and Bull, in the city centre. At the other end of town, at the Bassins à flot, near the UGC cinema, the Delirium café, as big as a bowling alley, open since the autumn, covers some 800 m², not counting the terrace. Space, and no doubt a bit of air, on the side of basin no. 2. Quai Louis XVIII, a word for the Dog and Duck pub, quai Louis XVIII, whose owner Micky lives the UBB matches intensely, point raging or head buried in his hands. And if Bègles is not represented in the list of “UBB spots”, the Carnaval café, near the town hall, will broadcast the match on its terrace.

The wow effect!

The establishment has been open since June 2023, but it remains an extra-ring road attraction, and also has the merit of being located in Bègles: on the first level of the Mascaret shopping center, near the Rives d’Arcins, La Cage offers a sports brewery concept imported from Canada. Special feature: a huge 31 m² screen which overlooks the bar. Guaranteed effect.
