Forward Patrick Kane continues his adventure with the Detroit Red Wings.

Kane will receive a salary of $4 million according to the Sportsnet network. Several bonuses, for a grand total of $6.5 million, are at stake for the veteran. He will earn $1.5 million if he plays 10 games, $250,000 for 60 games and $500,000 if the Wings make the playoffs. Finally, if Detroit reaches the playoff schedule and the winger scores 60 points, he will add $250,000 to his check.
Moreover, Frank Seravalli revealed that the Montreal Canadiens would have tried to acquire the services of the 35-year-old athlete if he had reached the free agent market.

“I heard that another team was going to try to attract him and it was a real surprise for me: the Montreal Canadiens. We never know who is in the running when the free agent market opens,” Seravalli said in his podcast Frankly Speaking.
