Table tennis, ping, has been at the Olympic Games since Seoul 1988. It is no secret that ping is a sport dominated by Asian countries but the gap with the rest of the world is gradually narrowing.
How does the competition take place?
In table tennis, all events are direct elimination.
In singles, a game is won in 4 winning sets of 11 points with a two-point gap in the set.
By team, a game is won in 3 winning sets of 11 points with a two-point difference. Each victory gives his team a point. The first team to 3 wins advances to the next round.
What are the categories?
Table tennis has 4 disciplines, two for each gender:
– simple dames
– simple gentlemen
– ladies teams
– men’s teams
Additionally, there is a mixed doubles event.
When will the tests take place in Paris?
The table tennis events take place from July 27 to August 10 at the Arena Paris Sud 4 in Paris.

Where to try table tennis in Danjoutin?
The Danjoutin table tennis club welcomes you to the Mozart college gymnasium on Tuesdays between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., Fridays between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. and Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
