Here is how voters of Maine-et-Loire voted for the first round of elections early legislative electionsthis Sunday June 30, 2024.

The territory has seven constituencies:

  • The first one brings together the cantons of Angers Centre, Angers Est, Angers Nord-Est, Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe and Tiercé;
  • The second : Angers South, Angers-Trélazé, Chalonnes-sur-Loire, Chemillé, Les Ponts-de-Cé;
  • The third : Allonnes, Baugé, Beaufort-en-Vallée, Durtal, Longué-Jumelles, Noyant, Saumur Nord, Seiches-sur-le-Loir;
  • The fourth : Doué-la-Fontaine, Gennes, Montreuil-Bellay, Saumur South, Thouarcé, Vihiers;
  • The fifth : Cholet I, Cholet II, Cholet III, Montfaucon ;
  • The sixth : Angers West, Beaupréau, Champtoceaux, Montrevault, Saint-Florent-le-Vieil, Saint-Georges-sur-Loire;
  • The seventh : Angers North, Angers North-West, Candé, Le Lion-d’Angers, Le Louroux-Béconnais, Pouancé, Segré

2024 Legislative Elections in Maine-et-Loire: 46 candidates for 7 seats

Forty-six candidates were running to become deputies for the department’s seven seats in the National Assembly.

The outgoing deputies are: Francois Gernigon (Horizons) in the 1time constituency, Stella Dupont (Renaissance) in the 2e constituency, Anne-Laure Blin (The Republicans) in the 3e constituency, Laëtitia Saint-Paul (Renaissance) in the 4e constituency, Denis Masséglia (Renaissance) in the 5e constituency, Nicole Dubre-Chirat (Renaissance) in the 6e constituency and Philippe Bolo (MoDem) in the 7e constituency.

The map of the elections of the 1st round of the legislative elections in Maine-et-Loire commune by commune

The first round of voting in these early legislative elections was characterized by a high participation rate in the department of Maine-et-Loire with 70.5% of voters.


Five of the seven outgoing deputies were placed in the lead by the voters with the notable exception of the Republican candidate, Anne-Laure Blin, who came in seconde position (23.87% of the votes), very far behind Edouard Bourgeault (37.84%) for the National Rally in the 3e constituency.

In the 4th constituency, the situation is different for Laëtitia Saint-Paul who is on par with the RN candidate Aurore Lahondès who is first by a very short head with 13 votes difference : 34.87% against 34.90%.
