While the RN reached 33% of the vote at the national level, in Lyon, the New Popular Front came first in four constituencies.
They clearly came out on top nationally with around 33% of the vote (provisional figure), distancing the left and even more so the presidential camp.
In Lyon, on the other hand, the candidates of the New Popular Front came out on top in the polls in the four constituencies on Sunday, with the outgoing EELV MP Marie-Charlotte Garin re-elected in the first round of legislative elections.
The young 28-year-old elected official, elected for the first time in June 2022, collected 51,51% votes in the 3rd constituency (3rd, 7th and 8th arrondissements).

Another NFP candidate, Boris Tavernier, a 44-year-old community activist specializing in food issues, therefore from civil society, narrowly failed with 49.65% of the vote. He will face in the second round the candidate of the presidential camp Loïc Terrenes (25.12%) in the 2nd district.
The RN invited himself to a three-way race in the city’s two other constituencies.
In the 1st district, Anaïs Belouassa-Cherifi, 29, an LFI activist who was part of Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s campaign team, is in the lead with 42.40% of the votes, ahead of outgoing presidential camp deputy Thomas Rudigoz (29, 72%).
RN candidate Laurent Mouton received 18.10% of the vote.
And in the 4th districtit is the socialist Sandrine Runel, deputy mayor of Lyon, who comes first in the first round with 38% of the votes.
The outgoing deputy of the presidential camp Anne Brugnera follows her with 31.03%. The RN candidate Yannick Chaumont (17.91%) is also qualified for the next round.
