The first round of legislative elections delivered its verdict, Sunday June 30, 2024 in the evening: compared to the 2022 ballot, the National Gathering East in progress almost everywhere.
This is the case in the agglomeration of Caen (Calvados). But the wave is not as significant as three weeks ago, during the European elections.
Fewer first places than three weeks ago in the city
The National Rally then came first in 30 of the 48 communes of the Caen la Mer urban community. This time, the party chaired by the National Rally only arrived in first position “that” in eight municipalities.
It is at Troarnwith its candidate Josseline Liban, that the National Rally has collected its best score with 36.56% votes cast.
Municipalities to the south and east of Caen
Troarn is, with Sannerville (Josseline Lebanon 33.33%), the only commune east of Caen la mer where the far-right party comes out on top.
The six other municipalities where the RN arrived in pole position on Sunday evening are included in the southern part of the urban community: Bourguébus (32,06%), The Castle (33,65%), Castine-en-Plaine (33,01%), Grentheville (33,39%), Saint-André-sur-Orne (35,41%), et Soliers (31,65%).
