Photography The Décadrage association, whose aim is to support photojournalists and documentary photographers, presented its projects and launched its search for patrons for the year 2024/2025 at the Grand Hôtel, in Roanne, on Thursday, June 20.

As a reminder, the association supported Christian Verdet’s photo exhibition Ukraine, a childhood in ruins, at the Banque de France, in Roanne, in September 2023. Décadrage wanted to focus this time on the environment by offering three exhibitions by Roanne photographers Pierre Gleizes and Véronique Popinet ( on the right in the photo ). Thus, Pierre Gleizes will present an exhibition on his years spent as a photographer at Greenpeace, in the early 80s, and a whole body of work on rail and river transport modes, alternatives to polluting road transport.

Véronique Popinet, winner of the major photographic commission from the BNF and photographer for the Hans Luca agency, will exhibit her Roanne work on collective gardens, « spaces for the exchange of knowledge and practices, conviviality, but also places of resilience, which prefigure a “world after” bringing hope. »

The association is primarily looking for a central location that could allow it to accommodate the large number of images from this exhibition and its partners. Note that Décadrage is currently creating its own exhibition structures in order to be able to deploy its exhibitions in all locations, including the most atypical.
