2 hours later: visit to the Café Music construction site. Charles Dayot is retained, an unexpected event! Helmets screwed on the head, the visit begins. Jean-Marie Lavedan, responsible for monitoring the construction site for the Town Hall, takes over. The building has been under construction for 3 years, it will open its doors to the public in October 2024 and the first concert in the new hall will be on Friday, November 1, 2024. On the sound side, the panels, insulation and concrete blocks are installed, giving the walls a thickness of 1.30 m, thus ensuring acoustic comfort for the neighbors. A technical feature consists of a concrete floor mounted on springs, detached from the walls, ensuring perfect soundproofing and avoiding vibrations of the ground, explains Jean-Marie Lavedan. From the concert hall to the Club area, from the bar to the computer-assisted music room, including the music classrooms and rehearsal studios, a network supplies each pipe for the renewal of air and the heating of each room. Everything has been redesigned to offer optimal comfort to the public and the 300 students. 3:30 p.m.: Charles Dayot is preparing to honor a new meeting in the city council chamber, behind closed doors due to sensitive subjects.
