It has been seventeen years since the Plaisir de la danse association was created. Its treasurer, André Renault, who had been in office since the beginning, has decided to step down. On Tuesday, during the general meeting, he made a final assessment, before handing over to Gérard Briand. The latter will be assisted by Pierre Ménard, who becomes deputy.

The dance season is over: 40 Tuesday dances were organized at the Embarcadère, with six events and seven tea dances. 257 members took their cards.

The financial report shows a deficit of €1,152 on the €26,534 of expenditure. A large budget offset by memberships at more than 68%. The tea dances worked well and will increase to €9 entry, from the start of the school year, to do like other associations”, said the president, Nicole Demaison. The annual subscription remains at €70 and a contribution of €5 will be requested for the dinner aperitifs.

Following the resignation of three members of the board of directors, three new members have joined: Noéline Brégain, Antoinette and André Visdeloup.

The resumption will take place on Tuesday, September 3. Each week, the musical entertainment will alternate between Emmanuel Rolland, Serge Briand, Claudine Plihon and Charlie Musique. Several events will be scheduled for the season. Sandrine Réhel, deputy for culture, congratulated the association for its sustainability and its dynamism.
