Roanne firefighters get a dog out of trouble, stuck on the roof of a building

A dog, stuck on the roof of a building on rue Émile-Noirot, was saved by the Roanne firefighters this Wednesday, June 26.

It’s almost 3 p.m. The thermometer is close to the 30 degree mark. The sun is beating down on the roofs of Roanne. And the République-Gambetta construction site, rue Émile-Noirot, is in full swing.

Until the workers stopped in their tracks, believing they were dreaming when they saw a dog on the burning tiles of a building located just opposite. A cat why not, it’s quite common, but a dog? How is this possible?, they ask themselves. He came out through the open skylight.

To get him out of this mess, the firefighters went to the site, equipped with their large ladder. And the municipal police cut off traffic to allow them to carry out their perilous maneuver.

Return to dry land

After just a few minutes, the dog is safely placed in the basket and lowered onto dry land. Embedded in the trunk of the municipal car, it heads towards the Roannais SPA, where its owner, notified by a small note on the door of his apartment, will have to come and collect it.
