“Towards metamorphoses”: a magical creation to launch the season
This show, directed by magician Étienne Saglio, will be created at the Théâtre de Cornouaille and presented to open the season on October 1, 2 and 3. “Macbeth”: the explosive adaptation of a tragedy
It is also one of the creations of the season. This repertory theater piece finds new life thanks to the translation work of André Markowicz. The latter will also come to meet the public to explain his translation process. The infernal couple Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are played by the musician-singer ARM and the actress-singer Marina Keltchewsky. “Fiskal”: a show like clockwork
Fiskal (impeccable in Breton) presents contemporary creations, inspired by traditional dance, by two artists from the Lorient company C’hoari. But that’s not all ! They invite two skateboarders to learn the dance before learning to skate themselves. With the art of mixing the worlds of contemporary dance, popular dances, with that of skateboarding and street music, the C’hoari company blows a wind of joyful resistance. “The Bird of Prometheus”: between puppets, theater and music
Giant puppets, flames, “The Bird of Prometheus” is visually beautiful to watch. This show takes up the Greek myth of Prometheus who stole fire from men. A story that meets another tragedy, that of Greece’s debt in 2000. A story in which a third problem appears, that of the return of Greek students who went to study in Europe. “Carmen”: the voice of the group Moriarty
Rosemary Standley (the singer of the group Moriarty) interprets the story of Carmen through voice and acting. We discover how this famous masterpiece by Bizet was created and how the figure of Carmen, an ardent and free woman, defied the morals of her time. Rosemary Standley has a breathtaking vocal and dramatic presence. The show is to be seen on March 4, 5 and 6, 2025.
Circonova, So Breizh!, Sonik, etc.
This year, the Théâtre de Cornouaille will also offer its must-sees of the season. Singer Nolwenn Korbell will be part of the So Breizh! adventure. The Breton language will also be present with the show “Nos Voies lactées”, by the Cornish company Teatr Piba (at the Arthémuse), which tells the story of milk in French, in Breton but also in sign language. Circonova and Sonik will also have their share of surprises in store.
