Markets
Summer food market on the Pierre-Racine esplanade this Wednesday morning; from 6 p.m. and until midnight, market for artisans, creators and producers on the Rambla du Soleil; this morning, daily food and clothing market in Grau d’Agde, on Place des Mûriers.


Petanque
On Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, at 2:30 p.m., the Pétanque capagathoise du Môle offers competitions in pairs and triplets at the Pierre-Brandani bowling alley (€2); the Amicale des boulistes du front de mer, in Grau d’Agde, organizes a competition in mounted triplets at 2:30 p.m. (€2).


Media library
From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., “Botanical bookmark” workshop for children aged 3 to 6. Using dried flowers and plants, create your bookmark. Free. Reservations on 04 67 94 67 00.


Guided tours
The tourist office offers a visit on the theme “Agde, from the port city to Château Laurens”. The opportunity to follow the course of the Hérault river like the thread of history, through a reading of landscapes from the quays. Starting from the ancient port city, you will reach the 20th century with a visit to a jewel of Art Nouveau: the Laurens castle. From €10 to €20; free – from 8 years old. Departure at 10 a.m. from the rue de la Gare d’Eau car park.

At 2:30 p.m., second visit of the day: “Embonne site and the Museum of Ephebe and Underwater Archeology”. The first historical occupation of Cap d’Agde, Embonne constitutes a site which evolved from a “villae” to an “urban area” until disappearing during the High Middle Ages. The Musée de l’Éphèbe will illustrate the activities of the site, particularly from the angle of trade and the transport of goods through the discoveries made on boat wrecks from Antiquity to the present day. Exposition (3)
The tourist office in the heart of the town, Place de la Belle Agathoise, offers an exhibition on the Bois de Riquet, an archaeological site discovered in Lézignan-la-Cèbe in 2008, in a basalt quarry, and which contains old remains of a million years. It is visible for free until June 29Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.


Heritage
A remarkable example of eclectic architecture from the end of the 19th century, listed as a Historic Monument since 1996, Château Laurens was created in 1898 thanks to the imagination of its owner, Emmanuel Laurens. Prices: from €9 to €25, depending on the formula chosen.


Fishing
Visits to the Belvedere of the Criée du Grau d’Agde on the banks of the Hérault. With, from Monday to Friday, two meetings offered to the public: the first on “Behind the scenes of fishing”, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (€7, €6 for 7-11 year olds, free for – 4 years), with the possibility of a seafood tasting afterwards (€15, €14 for 4-11 year olds, not recommended for under 4 year olds); the second visit concerns “The auction at the Criée”, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (€7, €6 for 4-11 year olds, free for under 4 year olds).

Environment
With family or friends, the “Captain Game” environmental discovery circuit will help you discover Cap-d’Agde in a different way with its two fun 3 km courses. Find the twelve terminals distributed around the port of Cap-d’Agde and mark your answers. Free. Card to be collected at the harbor master’s office, the tourist office or at the Cap d’Agde Nautical Center.
