European Heritage Days 2023

It all started in 1969 with the development of a new neighborhood, the Center des 7-Mares, with its Maison pour Tous, a building with multiple functions delivered in 1975, which allowed new residents to meet, introduce yourself to art in all its forms or have lunch together in the cafeteria. A volume of brick or oxidized copper, it echoes the media library, formerly a library-discotheque, on the other side of the street, which opened its doors the same year even before the arrival of the first residents. Also discover behind the scenes of this equipment in the company of those who bring it to life! Offered by Prisme, the 7-Mares media library and the SQY city museum.

Schedules :
09/16 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Le Prisme, artistic development center – Find out more about the place:
The Prisme artistic project is part of the new cultural project of the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines urban community whose political objective is the emancipation of citizens: reconstituting the ability to feel, to understand, to judge , create a new relationship with the resident and thus participate in the dynamics of the territory. LE PRISME IS A CITY THEATER which is open to all residents. Its cultural ambition is to make Art and Culture accessible. He places the artist and the individual at the heart of all his actions. This demanding artistic project seeks a new way of experiencing live performance in an inventive and rich relationship between artists and residents: doing it together! Artistic creation for residents, spectator school, curiosity salon… This work is historically based on artistic education and today, Le Prisme is developing as a resource place for artistic education by offering training, spaces for reflections and experimenting with new forms of workshops: artist residencies in schools, parent-child workshops, transgenerational projects… As a living space and resource place, Le Prisme works either in a network or in partnership, in order to guarantee each project a sufficient institutional base (as well as funding) and an outreach of the project towards different audiences and, when the content lends itself to it, towards restricted audiences and in the evolution of cultural practices.
