A few rays of sunshine will be enough to convince the residents of Toulouse to take a little height… in the heart of the Pink City. After almost two months of work, the terrace of the Gigilandon the top floor of Midica, in Esquirol, has reopened.

An upgrade to PMR standards and opening thanks to a second door now offer the possibility of receiving up to 50 people, compared to 20 previously. Doubled staff numbers, but in “a cozy and confidential spirit that we wanted to keep”, confirms Florence De Le Rue, one of the three partners of Gigiland.

A terrace filled with plants

But from now on, twice as many people will be able to benefit from a seasonal breakfast, with local products, around the palm trees, olive trees and plants which adorn the 100 m² terrace. And not only.

Because the big news this year, in this eco-responsible restaurant, is plants. “We’re making it green power!” “, exclaims Florence De Le Rue. The trio of Gigiland, Florence, Emma and Roselyne, called on the Urban gardens to decorate your outdoor space.

Learn about plants, for children

Several large pots have found their place. And everyone has their own ecosystem. Mediterranean garden, tropical, dry, autonomous and edible. THE five planters each have their own theme, but above all, a QR code redirecting customers to games and quizzes.

“It allows you to discover potted plants and their health benefits,” explains Florence De Le Rue. “The idea is to attract children,” adds the mother. It’s here green pedagogy ! »

An initiative that already adds to the space designed for families inside the restaurant. Enough to enjoy the sun for young and old alike.
