Who are the three candidates of the union of the left in Aube for the legislative elections?

HASclose to the days of negotiations, the New Popular Front revealed the candidates who will represent the union of the left (PS, LFI, EE-LV, PC, Génération.s). In Aube, the three constituencies were allocated to socialists following national agreements validated by the different parties in the alliance. The local group of La France Insoumise did not take offense and approached the PS to campaign.

Alice Barry on the first constituency

The Socialist Party focused on youth in the first constituency. The movement involved Alice Barry, 28 years old. This lawyer specializing in labor law within the CGT has been an activist in the PS since 2010. She volunteered to lead the legislative battle. La Troyenne will be accompanied by Yoann Lemarié, member of Europe Écologie-Les Verts.

Samira Sebbari on the second constituency

Samira Sebbari, 48, will represent the union of the left in the second constituency of Aube, that of outgoing LR MP Valérie Bazin-Malgras. This business manager is a former municipal official from La Chapelle-Saint-Luc. La Troyenne is associated with David Morin, 58 years old, SNCF agent and known locally for having been the departmental head of the CGT for several years. The duo had already been candidates in the departmental elections in 2021 for the left-wing collective Oxygène.

Olivier Girardin on third

Olivier Girardin was nominated by the Popular Front to be the candidate of the union of the left for the third constituency. The one where the left has the most hope (it is also the only Aube circus that the Aube socialists had demanded as part of the Parisian apparatus discussions). That of the North-West of Aube which includes Nogent-sur-Seine, Romilly-sur-Seine and… La Chapelle-Saint-Luc. The city of which Olivier Girardin has been the mayor since 2008 but also the departmental councilor since 2021. An electoral base and popularity which make him a serious candidate, established in the territory (he is also vice-president within the agglomeration of Troyes).

Enough to allow him to take the place from the outgoing RN deputy, Angélique Ranc, who intends to ride the dynamics of her movement? The Chaplain can already believe in qualifying for the second round.

In 2022, the candidate of the Union of the Left, less known in the department, missed the march by very little (116 votes).
