In introduction, Jean Lacoste, responsible for culture at the City, recalled the history of this first eloquence competition, born from a suggestion from François Bayrou in 2021. Then, he thanked the organizers, members of the Management Culture: Laurent Meissel, Mila and Aurore.

Loud applause

The host of the evening, Léo Bahurlet, himself a former winner of the national Eloquencia competition, heated up the room with a lot of humor and sometimes self-deprecation. He presented the jury chaired by Jean Lacoste, master Claude Garcia, former president of the Pau bar, Valérie Lescanne, coordinator of the educational city of Pau, Richard Galbe-Delord, theater teacher and actor and Sabaline Fournier, artistic director and choreographer .

During the semi-final at the Saragosse Theatre, 15 days ago, the jury was touched by the performance of the youngest competitor, Zélie Normand, 13, from the Henri IV school in Nay. Accepted out of competition, she opened the hostilities, as usual with her roller skates on her feet!

Zélie arrived on roller skates.

Morgane Le Meur spoke brilliantly.

The two candidates in the 12/14 year-old category, Salomé Blaziot and Safaa Bouyazguar, both from Clermont College, were named joint winners, to the warm applause of their supporters.

In the 15/17 year old category, Morgane Le Meur, in her first year at Immac in Pau, was unanimously voted for by the jury. And to think that in the semi-finals, she had almost been eliminated, saved by one vote! With brilliance, she was able to support her speech based on self-sacrifice by quoting Colonel Achille Muller from Pau and the singer Daniel Balavoine who was himself a student at Immac, from 1967 to 1970.

Affafe Ezrahi Gaultier won in the adult category.

Finally, the Audience Prize, awarded to the applause meter, went to Cécile Laporte-Rodier.
