“The RN is not at all first in this constituency”

“Already the good news, says Marion Gorgiard, The National Rally is not at all the first in this constituency and that is very fortunate. Then, we are ready to go back to the fight because there was no doubt that we would be in the second round. The third lesson is that there were many voters who, as a result of constant bombardment on TV sets, perhaps took refuge more in the centre than towards the left. She adds : “Mr. Cosson, this is the program of the Macron government. This is what he will implement and this is what he has done so far, with the Asylum and Immigration Act and the pension reform. He is here to implement Mr. Macron’s roadmap.”

The RN candidate “absent”

She tackles the National Rally candidate. “Ms Billaud did not campaign in the constituency. She is nowhere to be seen. Just her poster on the election billboards with Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella. She is not known here. We have a National Rally vote, certainly, but it is based on the national figure, not at all on her candidacy.”

As for her continued participation in a three-way race next Sunday against Mickaël Cosson (MoDem) and Françoise Billaud (National Rally), she has no plans to withdraw. “I’m holding on, there’s no doubt about it, we’re second.”

In 2022, Nupes candidate, Marion Gorgiard came first in the first round of the legislative elections, before being beaten by the candidate of the presidential majority.
