The Ophelia restaurant on Grande Allée, in Quebec, celebrated its seven candles on May 29, during an evening marked by celebration and generosity. Since her very first birthday, Ophelia has donated all profits from these special birthday evenings to LEUCAN, which supports children with cancer as well as their parents. This year, $25,000 was raised thanks to 120 guests who enjoyed a festive atmosphere (with a musical trio), an auction and an 8-course dinner. Since 2018, a very special link has united the restaurant with Leucan. More than $100,000 was donated to the organization thanks to Ophelia’s birthday parties. The young Isabella Boezio (photo), 12 years old (she will be 13 on August 22), from Quebec, impressed many during a recent private party on the occasion of the 80e his grandfather’s birthday, Bepino Boezio. Isabella had sung, with accuracy, in Italian and English, some great successes, including that of Andrea Bocelli With you leaving in duet with Bepino. The guests fell for Isabella. Music is omnipresent in the Boezio family. Isabella loves singing like her grandfather but also like her father Luigi Boezio, singing musician. Isabella is also a good student. She attends the Saint-Louis Academy (she has just finished secondary 1), where she received a merit for academic excellence and another for student of the year. Some say she will make a good candidate for Star Academy in a few years. Do we ever know!

It’s worth a photo!

The excellent photographer from Quebec Guy Rainville, from the famous family of the same name (Ernest Rainville), not only excels in his profession but also stands out when the time comes to swap and adjust his “lenses” for golf clubs. On June 6, Guy achieved the “goal” of every self-respecting golfer, a hole-in-one. His feat came on hole number 16 at the Lac Saint-Joseph Golf Club, with a 7 iron over a distance of 135 yards. In the group photo, Guy, who is holding his precious ball, is surrounded by his playing partners: Pierre Demers, Pierre Gagnon And Christian Falardeau. Well done Guy!
