One person was killed and four others were injured in a shooting in Etobicoke late Sunday, according to Toronto police.

The shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. in the rear parking lot of the North Albion Collegiate Institutenear the intersection of the promenade Mount Olive and the avenue Kiplingthe police said.

The police officers who intervened found five people suffering from gunshot wounds.

A man in his 50s was taken to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries, while the other four people went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said around midnight.

One of those people died at the hospital, but police did not say which one.

The homicide unit is leading the investigation.

Police say a black truck was seen speeding away from the area after the shooting.
