In recent hours, several coordinators of the Patriotic Youth of Senegal (Jps), a movement affiliated with the Pastef party, have been appointed mission managers to the Presidency of the Republic. Another time, another customs? Or status quo?

It is a continuity in the nominative practices: Special Envoy, Minister-Advisor, High Representative of the Head of State and now in charge of mission. At the presidency of the Republic, appointments follow one another to expand the presidential cabinet. In recent hours, a dozen coordinators of the Patriotic Youth of Senegal (Jps), a movement affiliated with the Pastef party, have been appointed project managers at the Presidency: these include, among others, the coordinators of the Jps of Kédougou, Saint- Louis, Koungheul, Diourbel, Tambacounda.

On the eve of the anticipated legislative elections on November 17, it is a way of remobilizing the electoral base, in particular the young people who constitute the heart of Pastef and who continue to demand their nominations. With these appointments, the presidency is expanding its political and administrative staff in a context of economic conditions and announced reductions in state spending.

Very powerful Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko has put at his side a team of 20 advisors to the Prime Minister in the areas of defense, security, diplomacy, health, mines, oil, finance and budget . They are the point of contact for ministers and secretaries of state for all technical questions relating to each ministerial department.
