The alert for the passage of ex-Hurricane Kirk which has become severe depression has been issued since Tuesday October 8, 2024 for this day of October 9.
Météo France has classified the Eure-et-Loir department on Orange alert today for rain and flooding and firefighters are in particular demand.
Around thirty interventions in four main sectors
In a first inventory issued this Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 5:34 p.m., the Eure-et-Loir Departmental Fire and Rescue Service draws up an initial inventory of current interventions throughout the department.
However, it appears that certain areas are particularly at risk of flooding due to heavy, incessant rain since the start of the day.
Around thirty interventions for flooding are underway and/or treated with four sectors mainly impacted: Courville-sur-Eure, Chartres, Nogent-le-Rotrou and Auneau-Bleury-Saint-Symphorien.
Around 5 p.m., Météo France placed one department on Red Vigilance as well as 32 departments on Orange Vigilance for this Wednesday, October 9.
For Thursday October 10, 2024: one department on Red Vigilance, 21 departments on Orange Vigilance.
