The alert for the passage of ex-Hurricane Kirk which has become severe depression has been issued since Tuesday October 8, 2024 for this day of October 9.

Météo has classified the Eure-et-Loir department on alert today for rain and flooding and firefighters are in particular demand.

Around thirty interventions in four main sectors

In a first inventory issued this Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 5:34 p.m., the Eure-et-Loir Departmental Fire and Rescue Service draws up an initial inventory of current interventions throughout the department.

However, it appears that certain areas are particularly at risk of flooding due to heavy, incessant rain since the start of the day.

Around thirty interventions for flooding are underway and/or treated with four sectors mainly impacted: Courville-sur-Eure, Chartres, Nogent-le-Rotrou and Auneau-Bleury-Saint-Symphorien.
