Chloé Asselin won first prize in the local final of Secondaire en spectacle, Friday evening, to loud applause from the crowd.
At the end of the deliberations, it was her dance number among the 18 presented that convinced the jury made up of Clovis Richard, Émile Deraspe, Marie-Claude Vigneault, Anthony Turbide and Marianne Arseneau.

She explains that her performance on the song When it is by Belgian singer-songwriter Stromae had a special connotation.
Their interpretation of And bam! by singer-songwriter Mentissa earned second place for six students: Florence Noël, Kamille Brodeur, Mélia Bourque, Jacob Déraspe, Louis-Félix Boudreau and Laurane Verdier.

The winners will head to Matapédia at the beginning of April to take part in the Secondary en spectacle regional final.
Chloé Asselin will not only participate in the competition aspect but also as a young coordinator.
Finally, the Vieux Treuil prize went to Jacob Déraspe and Mélia Bourque, who will open for an artist at a show next summer.
