Lascelle. A café-bistro, Atelier Soubrier, opens its doors in the Jordanne valley. Located between Velzic and Lascelle, perched at the top of the small village of Bouygues with a view of Lac des Graves, this vast family home built in the 18th e century was the place of creation, inventiveness and escape of the amateur artist Georges Soubrier.

In 2019, his grandson, Jérémy Nguyen Ba, who regularly came there on vacation, decided to bring this place back to life in homage to his family history “in recent years and during the lockdown, the idea of an installation with a project that can bring a new dynamic to this corner of the valley has emerged, the café-bistro part opened since the beginning of June, is the first step in a renovation that will continue in 2025 for the restaurant part”, explains Jérémy Nguyen Ba, who has extensive experience in catering in renowned establishments in Paris but also in the United States and the West Indies. “We offer menus that are part of a local and sustainable approach with a supply of quality seasonal products,” continues Jérémy Nguyen Ba, attached to home-made products, who gives some examples of his menus composed of platters of cold cuts or cheese, salad, seasonal vegetables on sourdough toast, homemade smoked pesto, tart, beetroot hummus, trout gravlax, desserts… “It’s comfort in the heart of nature,” he adds.
