As reported Sky NewsVice-Admiral Timothy Laurence visited Southmead Hospital in Bristol this Tuesday, June 25, where Princess Anne remains under observation since her accident.
Questioned by the British media, Timothy Laurence confided that the royal princess was “fine” and that she was recovering “slowly but surely” from the shock. He also said that he had brought her “a few little treats from home”.
Princess Anne’s husband also thanked the medical team and messages from the public.
Kept under observation “as a precautionary measure”
Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, was hospitalized on Monday June 24 after being injured at Gatcombe Park, her residence located in Gloucestershire (southwest of England), Buckingham Palace announced.
The 73-year-old princess suffered “minor injuries and a concussion” after an incident with one of her horses. While the exact cause of these injuries has not been confirmed by Buckingham, Princess Anne’s medical team indicated that the princess may have been hit with the head or hoof by a horse.
Transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol on Monday, Princess Anne has been kept there under observation since yesterday for treatment and examinations “as a precautionary measure”, Buckingham Palace said.
Trip to Canada canceled
A high-level equestrian, the Princess Royal even represented her country at the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. It is on horseback that she participates in numerous official military parades, such as last June 15 for the one marking the official birthday of his brother, King Charles III.
