It is a real tragedy… An emblematic candidate of the show “Married at first sight” died at the age of 33.

International franchises of “Married at first sight” are enjoying dazzling success, like the French version broadcast on M6. In New Zealand, The first edition started on October 1, 2017with the same concept: relationship experts train couples who marry on their first meeting. In France, this mission is entrusted to Estelle Dossin and Gilbert Bou Jaoudéoften surprised by the matches they make. After the ceremony, the newlyweds spend their wedding night at the hotel and then go on their honeymoon. When they return, they must decide whether to stay married or divorce. The first New Zealand edition had seven men and five women, including a certain Andrew Jury.

Andrew Jury, an emblematic candidate

During his participation in “Married at first sight“, Andrew Jury, then aged 26stood out for his natural charm and spontaneity, enhanced by a “small tattoo somewhere”. Living in a shared apartment in search of the great love, he had captured attention for his outgoing personality. During the show, he had met Vicky, aged 27 during her own appearance on “Married at First Sight NZ.” Unfortunately, despite their connection on set, their relationship didn’t survive the return to everyday life.

Since the end of filming, Andrew had kept a low profile on social media. However, the sad news of his death at the age of 33announced by TMZ, shocked his fans and those who had followed his journey through the reality TV show.

Andrew Jury died in prison

Andrew Jury’s father has revealed his son is in in custody in Auckland at the time of his death tragic. Local media reported that he died shortly before a scheduled court appearance. The charges against him included accusations ofintent to injure, intentional damage and possession of a weapon.

According to his father, the young man had been in detention since his arrest on April 2. Since the announcement of his disappearance, several former candidates from the season, including Angel Renall et Benjamin Blackwellpaid tribute to him.

Good news from MAPR France

In 2017, Florian made a remarkable entrance into Season 2 of “Married at First Sight”. Although he initially said yes to his expert-chosen partner, their relationship did not last. Some time later, Florian met Meganewith whom he found true love. In August 2022, the couple made their union official at the town hall, thus sealing their happiness.

Since then, the former candidate and his wife have taken a major step forward: they are expecting their first child. On Instagram, Florian shared their journey of medically assisted procreation, expressing their joy of soon welcoming their long-awaited “Baby”. And to conclude: “We will remember from this journey the luck we have to be so well accompanied, surrounded and supported.“A true symbol of love and perseverance.
