Stone talks about his heroin use: ‘We took off like crazy’

Singer Stone, from the group Stone and Charden, was the guest of C8 on June 24. The latter questioned her about her private life and in particular her relationship with drugs.

At 76, Annie Gautrat, her real name, confessed that at the start of her career, she had tried everything. She explained that the secret lies in not consuming it regularly. The “Made in Normandie” singer said: “We tried everything at that time. We tried everything. The trap is not to let yourself be fooled by the genius of the drug you take. When we take something, it’s to have a yippee effect. So, above all, don’t take it again afterwards, you become addicted to it.”

Stone was lucky not to fall into addiction. She confided: “Ah, I scared myself about that, yes. Once, we took heroin with Mario, a friend. He said to me: “Hey, I have a little line, it’s nice.” We said to ourselves: “Okay, it’s cocaine, it’s light, it’s not serious.” Not at all, he was a hero. So, we took off like crazy. This is not possible, we must definitely not use it again.”

If Stone accepts her consumption, which she describes as recreational, she recognizes that not everyone experiences this experience in the same way, especially those who fall into addiction. She concluded: “I understand when people are really bad, that they use that as a bit of a crutch. People often take it to deal with unhappiness, a tragedy or rape. This was not our case, fortunately we were fine. So we said to ourselves: “What’s the point of continuing?”
