On July 6 and Sunday July 7, the Capelle festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary in an unusual and friendly way, and wants to be the kingdom of this local specialty.

A most convivial weekend full of surprises is being prepared for this little end of Onet and its hundred inhabitants, most of whom are involved in its organization, around the festival committee and its president Julien Garabuau “These are my first celebrations as president and we are also celebrating 30 years. They will be memorable, especially since I am well surrounded and the town hall is fully supporting us…”

To do this, a challenge was needed that matched the event! So, everyone invites you on Saturday from 4pm, to encourage the volunteers who will try to beat the world record for the longest spit cake (and taste it at the end…). “A few days ago, we did a test at 4.68m. It was shot, dressed and tasted, a success and a real treat. But Saint-Saturnin was even higher, we congratulate them, but we are not giving up: records are made to be broken!”

The festivities will continue under the marquee near the village hall, with an evening which will begin at 7:30 p.m., with Los Patos for an aperitif-bandas, continuing from 9:30 p.m., with the rock’n’roll concert of Spartack Methanol, will end with a disco ball hosted by Malt 3, before a “30th anniversary special” fireworks display will light up the Capelle sky. A large refreshment bar and a meal stand (melon, duck sleeves, gratin dauphinois, pie) will allow you to eat on site.

The essential Sunday breakfast

The village of Capelle invites you on Sunday from 8 a.m., for its traditional breakfast which will be served until noon. You will have the choice for the savory breakfast, between tripous, snails, lamb sweetbreads or the famous frog legs, after a good plate of charcuterie, then cheese, spit cake and coffee (a glass of wine is included in the menu, bottled wine is sold separately). For a sweet breakfast, there will be a hot drink (tea, coffee or hot chocolate), bread with your choice of butter or jam, sugar pancake or spread and a glass of orange juice.

Children will not be forgotten and will be able to enjoy inflatable structures all day long.
