Martin Mull, a familiar face on the small screen, died on June 27, 2024 at the age of 80 following a long illness. It’s his daughter, Maggie Mullwho announced this sad news via his Instagram account: “I am heartbroken to announce that my father passed away at home on June 27, after a courageous battle with a long illness. » She adds : “He was known for excelling in every creative medium imaginable, including making commercials for Red Roof Inn. He would have found that joke funny. He never stopped being funny. My father will be greatly missed by his wife and daughter, his friends and co-workers, his fellow artists, comedians and musicians, and – a sign of a truly exceptional person – many, many dogs. I loved him very much.”

Martin Mull began his career as an actor in the series Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman in which he plays the role of Garth Bimble and Barth Gimble. He will later reprise this role in the comedies Fernwood 2 Night et America 2-Night. A regular on comedy series, Martin Mull took part, among others, during her career in Domestic Life, Roseanne, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, The Ellen Show, ‘Til Death, My uncle Charlie, Dads, The Cool Kids et The Ranch. He was also known for having lent his voice to numerous characters, notably in Family Dog, The playground, Supreme Team, American Dad! et Danny Phantom.

On the big screen, Martin Mull could be seen in the film Cluedo, in which he plays Colonel Mustard. He also took part in feature films Madame Doubtfire, The Toy Race, Kiss & Kill or My real father and I.
