German-born influencer Xenia Adonts, a fashion specialist, was recently the target of a burglary at her home in Paris. His assistant, present on the spot, was threatened with a knife. The value of the stolen loot is estimated at more than 350,000 euros.

If the 30-year-old woman was not present in her apartment in the 2nd arrondissement at the time of the events, her assistant was taken hostage at knifepoint, CNEWS learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office. The young woman, a fashion specialist, moved to the French capital in 2018.
A flight in two acts
First, the criminals broke into the apartment between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on the night of Wednesday August 16 to Thursday August 17. Witnesses quickly alerted the police, and the findings were made at the start of the afternoon in the presence of the assistant, specifies Le Figaro. The police assessed the damage at 100,000 euros, mainly related to the theft of luxury clothes. The burglars also stole a pair of apartment keys.
Secondly, the same home was again targeted on Thursday early evening. This time, the assistant was held hostage in the bathroom. Her captors used a cellphone cable and a pair of socks to tie her up and stop her from screaming. According to his testimony, the individuals were two hooded men, armed with a knife. Luckily, she has no physical injuries. During this intrusion, the thieves took away luxury bags and multimedia equipment. Overall, the damage amounted to nearly 300,000 euros.
An open investigation
Following these events, a complaint was filed with the Paris-Centre police station. The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed to CNEWS the opening of an investigation for “theft aggravated by three circumstances: violence, meeting, and in a home” as well as for “kidnapping”. The investigations are carried out by the 1st district of the judicial police. So far, no arrests have been made. The influencer had not, in the middle of the afternoon this Friday, yet reacted publicly to this incident.
This violent robbery is reminiscent of that of American reality TV star Kim Kardashian in October 2016. During Fashion Week, she was robbed in a mansion in the 8th arrondissement of Paris and lost 9 million euros worth of jewelry. . Twelve people will be judged at the assizes at the end of 2023 in connection with this event.
