In Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët, a power cut occurred on Thursday, November 21. The electrical appliances suddenly went out around 1:30 p.m. In addition, repeated outages were noted. Then, the electricity lasted for a few minutes and then went out again because of the snow. Power was restored around 4:15 p.m.
For this reason, the E.Leclerc store and several businesses in the city center had to close their doors.
The same problem was observed in particular in Romagny, Saint-Clément-Rancoudray and Saint-James.
Enedis specifies that 13 500 clients in the Channel were impacted by this cut. “As of yesterday, we had pre-mobilized 1,000 Enedis employees and 400 of our service providers who are hard at work to intervene with our customers as quickly as possible. The reinforcements will be made available to the most affected regions as part of the FIRE (Rapid Electricity Intervention Force) when traffic conditions allow them to travel,” indicates the electricity distribution network manager.
