CULTURE – A frightening sequence for his fans. Singer Gilbert Montagné had an impressive fall this Saturday, June 22 in the evening, during his concert in the town of Saint-Pathus, in Seine-et-Marne. The star singer of the 80s performed the famous song I Wanna Dance With Somebody of Whitney Houston in front of his audience, when he fell off the stage, falling violently into the pit.
As you can see in the video below, Gilbert Montagné, who has been blind since childhood, was accompanied by a dancer who guided him on stage. But while doing a few dance steps, too close to the edge, he lost his balance and fell into the void.

The dancer tried to catch her, in vain. While some cries of panic rose from the audience, the star remained on the ground for several seconds in the pit. Security then quickly arrived to take care of him.
The singer has not given any news since Saturday evening, leaving his fans immersed in worry. “No injuries, it should be noted”, however, reassured AFP journalist Jean-François Guyot, specialist in celebrity and music news, on Twitter. Gilbert Montagné was also expected on the set of Pascal Praud, on Cnews, this Monday morning.

The day before this concert, the famous interpreter of “Sunlight of the Tropics” was present at the Élysée on the occasion of the music festival, to perform in particular in front of Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron. His next show, scheduled for June 30 in Saint-Maurice-de-Rémens in Ain, has not been canceled. Gilbert Montagné is then expected in Calvi, in Corsica, but also in Athens and Switzerland this summer.
