The city of Foix will live for six days, to the rhythm of the festival concerts from July 22 to 27.

This year again, this festival, which has become a must for jazz lovers, affirms its artistic choices by offering a unique program. Thus, Jazz à Foix returns with a mix of big names in European and international jazz, and will take the public on a journey to discover groups from here and elsewhere. In the heart of summer, the city of Foix will live for six days to the rhythm of In and Off concerts, masterclasses and jam sessions at the Jazz à Foix festival, an event orchestrated by the Art’Riège team.

Three highlights, and three atmospheres

The “Off” will be previewed on Monday July 22nd from 8pm, the groups will perform for free in the streets, on the terraces, under the market halls of Foix, and on the stage of the Village Jazz.

The “in” concerts take over at 9:30 p.m. from Tuesday July 23 to Saturday July 27 on the main stage within the Jazz Village. From 11 p.m. the evening continues as an “after” with jam sessions full of beautiful musical encounters.

So, big names will be present for this 23rd edition in Fux, including the groups “Des Egarés” with Vincent Peirani, Ballaké Sissoko, Emile Parisien, Vincent Ségal. The American blues singer-songwriter Eric Bibb will also be there. “To meet Eric is to be struck by both his humility and his warmth […]. His beliefs are based on the values ​​of the civil rights movement of the 1960s, and his music works to serve this dream.

An intoxicating program

Renaud Garcia Fons, like the Cuban pianist Harold Lopez Nussa, are also on the bill for this edition which promises to be intoxicating. Quebec soul jazz singer Dominique Fils – Aimé returns to the stage to present her new album “Our Roots Run Deep” released in September 2023. After exploring her African-American musical influences, this new, more intimate show invites us to explore the roots of his soul.
