Legislative, waiters, college certificates: Hello Saint-Brieuc!

Weather in Brioche: grey above our heads this Monday

This Monday, July 1st, the sun rose at 6:13 a.m. It will set at 10:17 p.m. In Légué, the tide will be low at 9:55 a.m. and high at 3:49 p.m. (coefficient 58). Low tide at 10:31 p.m.

The day will not be very bright today, with grey clouds covering the bay until this evening. Some clearings possible in the evening, but this remains to be confirmed. No rain, however, to accompany this gloomy weather. Little wind either: no more than 20 km/h.

2024 legislative elections: Mickaël Cosson in the lead, Marion Gorgiard and Françoise Billaud qualified

It was hard to miss this morning, as the announcement of the results of the legislative elections on Sunday evening was such a shock. Positive for some, negative for others. While at the national level, the National Rally came out on top on the evening of the first round, in the first constituency of Côtes-d’Armor, that of Saint-Brieuc, it was Mickaël Cosson, the outgoing MP and Ensemble candidate, who came in first place, with 32.96% of the vote, ahead of Marion Gorgiard, of the New Popular Front, with 30.38% and Françoise Billaud, of the National Rally, with 25.75% of the vote. All three candidates qualified for the second round. [L’analyse de Laurent Marc]

Otherwise, what are we doing today?

A little concert evening at Bonjour Minuit, would you like it? I then offer you a little prelude to the Binic Blues Festival. La Nef D Fous, the organizing association of the Binicais festival, invites two garage rock groups on stage: Cosmic Psychos and Meat Shirt. And when you know that the first group just inspired Kurt Cobain, frontman of Nirvana, you are guaranteed to have a great time. [En savoir plus sur le concert]

Boy Please !

There was more than just elections on the menu in Saint-Brieuc on Sunday. After a year without an edition in 2023, the waiters’ race was making its big comeback in the city center, as part of the Chamboultout festival. There were ten of them, tray in hand, taking on the challenge in front of an enthusiastic crowd. We were there. [Qui a remporté la course des garçons de café ?]

Good luck to all the college students!

Do you know a Thierry? Then don’t forget to wish him a happy birthday today.

And finally, allow me to spare a thought for all the middle school students (858,409 in France) who are starting the patent exams this Monday. French this morning, mathematics this afternoon, before history-geography and sciences tomorrow Tuesday. Good luck to everyone ! Courage, it’s going to be okay… The holidays are coming.
