The accident which cost the life of a pedestrian took place on Sunday June 30 near a residential area of Brossard near the DIX30 district.

A septuagenarian died after being hit at the intersection of Boulevard du Quartier and Rue de Lancaster in Brossard early Sunday morning.
The accident took place around 6:30 a.m., indicates Mélanie Mercille, spokesperson for the Longueuil agglomeration police department.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his twenties, is said to have hit the man while he was walking in this residential area located on the edge of Quartier DIX30.
The suspect has been arrested. He could face charges of dangerous driving causing death.
Boulevard du Quartier, west of the DIX30 shopping center, is closed between Lancaster and des Prairies streets while collision reconstructionists and investigators analyze the accident scene.
Police recommend avoiding the area.
