A new series is a hit on Netflix. Taken from a book sold in several million copies, it particularly appeals to teenagers. The best ? It looks in less than 5 hours.
Every month, Netflix welcomes new productions. This month of June, the program is particularly busy. Indeed, the second part of season 3 of The Bridgerton Chronicles finally arrives on the platform on June 13. Other productions were particularly anticipated, such as the cult film Lolita In spite of myself or Under the Seine. This latest production has also provoked the anger of scientists and has continued to be talked about since its release on June 4. On the series side, new productions have entered the Top 10.
Indeed, Fiasco And Thank you and see you next time! left the Top to make way for the documentary Dance with the Devil on the terrible history of a sect or even the psychological drama Eric which particularly upset viewers. In the Top, we also find, Hierarchy And New Amsterdam. But that’s not all : After Ni una Más, a brand new series for teens rose to third place of the rank : Geek Girl. It takes less than 5 hours to watch the entire season 1!

What is Geek Girl, the hit series for teens on Netflix, about?
If the name Geek Girl tells you something, it’s because the series is based on the books of the same name by Holly Smale, the first volume of which was released in 2014. The saga was a real hit and the books were sold in several million copies . Thus, the series is appreciated by both fans of the novels as well as those who have never read them. It is made up of 10 episodes of around thirty minutes which can be watched very quickly. We follow Harriet played by Emily Carey known for her role as Alicent Hightower in House of the Dragon. She is a teenager with autism who is the victim of bullying.

Actress Emily Carey, for her part, told Télé Loisirs: “The story is not necessarily over at the end of season 1”before adding: “Season 1 is the first book, and then we took stories from the second and third books to adapt them for the screen.” She further stated: “There’s a lot of Source material, so it’s definitely a series that could go on and on”. There is therefore a good chance that a season 2 will be signed.
