A piano prodigy, self-taught, he had at only 19 years old collaborated with many musical personalities. Unfortunately, Mourad Tsimpou, a young self-taught pianist revealed by videos that quickly went viral on social networks a few years ago, and which allowed him to make a living from his passion, passed away this Saturday June 29, 2024It was his family who made the sad announcement on Instagram, his manager confirmed the information to AFP.

“1932 Records, its managers, its parents, its family, are deeply saddened to inform you of the death of Mourad, ‘the pianist’, Tsimpou, which occurred today, June 29, 2024 at the Necker hospital in Paris” his loved ones said on Instagram. They also indicated that a participatory kitty would be opened in the next few hours, in order to help Mourad’s parents cope with this unspeakable event. Mourad should be buried in the Comoros, where he was from, in family privacy.

According to initial information gathered by various media outlets such as BFMTV, Mourad Tsimpou had been suffering since childhood of a rare and orphan liver disease. This information was confirmed by Salim Lebghil, one of the two managers of the deceased. Among the orphan and rare liver diseases, we can cite acute hepatic porphyria, Alagille syndrome, Wilson’s disease or even hemochromatosis.

Mourad Tsimpou’s musical history is short, but beautiful. While he was visiting La Timone hospital, which he had attended since his childhood, The young teenager discovers a piano and tries it out. This is the revelation. The 14-year-old goes home, listens to Chopin, reproduces what he hears, improvises. Those close to him capture the performances he puts on and his videos create a buzz.
