Yes, less shine, less cachet. And if there is no hour of glory for all the volunteer musicians, the great ceremony of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, marked everyone’s spirits, with this parade starting from the esplanade of arch to the war memorial.

Because that’s how it is, yes the Harmonie du Creusot often meets in front of the monument. But not only that. It offers two free concerts per year which fill the large hall of L’arc. Not to mention its services, also free, for other musical moments, notably the music festival.
And if each time it is without a false note, it is because every Friday evening, they all meet in the ALTO auditorium for joyful rehearsals, as their President Céline Carton has said. recalled, Sunday at midday, at the Kyriad Hotel, where the Harmony was celebrating Sainte-Cécile, their patroness.
Let it be said, the Harmonie du Creusot is doing well. It has 34 musicians, with, as in any association, arrivals and departures. The youngest musician is 20 years old, the oldest 82 years old, proof that music preserves. L’Harmonie du Creusot recently had the pleasure of welcoming two new members. But also a significant departure, that of Jean-Paul Lapret who served the Harmony for 60 years.
This is particularly what Céline Carton underlined by highlighting teamwork. And she did not fail to announce the next concert, this Sunday, December 1 at L’arc, but also another meeting on December 6, at the Ecuisses Christmas Market. She sent thanks to the Mayor of Le Creusot for the support of the city, but also to the chef Lydiane Curt-Pitou who received a distinction for 15 years of activity, with a bronze medal. Distinction and bronze medal for Marie-Laure and Dominique Lasoiseleur. CMF Nationale for both.
David Marti praised the state of mind of the members of the Harmony, “with the quality of what you are offering and the eagerness to discover the next concert”. And added: “At Creusot, we are always proud to have Harmony.”
Eliette Gien, president of the Saône-et- Musical Federation, which has 94 companies and brings together 3,000 musicians, continued by addressing the members: “You are ambassadors of music. And to announce, for 2025, a summer internship, but also a departmental orchestra project.
