Fauvillers councilors approved the specifications for the creation of a carpool parking lot in Warnach. This involves the creation of 29 spaces and a secure shelter for bicycles. The estimate of €128,381 with an expected subsidy of 80%. Councilor Lafalize regrets that no lighting is provided in this location. Councilor Grandjenet suggested the installation of water infiltration paving stones. During the debates, some suggested that this parking lot be reserved only for cars and prohibited for heavy goods vehicles.

Almost a decade ago, in 2015 exactly, the municipalities of Bastogne, Bertogne and Vaux-sur-Sûre submitted a project for an “Agricultural Relay Hall”. In 2017, a subsidy capped at €500,000 was granted. Subsequently, the municipalities of Fauvillers, Sainte-Ode and Tenneville joined the project. The future agricultural relay hall will be located in Bastogne. As specified by councilor Erwin Grandjenet, it will consist of a collective kitchen, workshops for processing local products as well as a sales area. It could be operational at the end of 2025.

The municipalities decided to create a non-profit organization with the aim of operating this hall. The six municipalities must share the costs linked to the investment. They have concluded a management agreement with the multi-municipal non-profit organization Hall Relais du Plateau Ardennais. The Municipality of Fauvillers provides joint guarantee to Belfius Bank for reimbursement of up to €180,000.

Inverter stalls

Following a question from minority councilor Baudouin Goffin, the problem of inverter disconnections in Sainlez and Honville was discussed. Mayor Nicolas Stilmant contacted ORES to see what possibilities there might be to resolve the problems. Alderman Chetter added: Well aware of the situation following complaints from residents, ORES will modify the electrical cabin in order to solve the problem. They are waiting for the equipment, there are major supply problems. The problem is therefore known, identified and we will be kept informed of the progress of the work.

For Honville, ORES will build a new cabin.

Alderman Éric Strépenne visited the site with representatives from ORES and a site was chosen. ORES is now waiting for the surveyor’s measurement plan and will then request agreement in principle from the municipality to build this cabin which will solve the dropout problems in Honville.
